Just One More out; is New and Noteworthy!
Get the greasy popcorn out of the microwave, dim those glaring lights, snuggle up with that so-called loved one – for our new iOS app has just launched!
Targeted at midnight cinema freaks and oh-so-over-odeon indie kids, watch amazing videos and shorts for free, courtesy of the cool chaps at Vimeo.
Apple have also done us a nice favour in putting it to the top of New & Noteworthy for Entertainment! Woop!
Technically, the app is built using HTML5 using the Sencha Touch and PhoneGap frameworks, pulling in content via the Vimeo API. It was built as a showcase for what’s possible on hybrid apps. Oh, and did we mention we’ve just submitted an update for it to work on iPhone too? Yeh baby…
So go on, Just One More…

Just installed it and tried it out – very tasty.
One question – is there any particular reason this is an app that needs to be installed, i.e. are you using some specific native feature on iOS, or could this equally be released as a web accessed app?

Wow guys! Sick app. I just installed and loved that one of the first vids was “ILUVUXDESIGN”. This is definitely one of the nicest PhoneGap apps I’ve seen to date! Let me know if you’d like to be part of a feature on PhoneGap.com!

@rem: Not at all. We’re using the Sench Touch framework which is, at this time, restricted to iOS and Android but we’re looking ahead to other tablet platforms.
Could it be released as a webapp? Sure, with a few tweaks…
