We’ve been lucky enough to be selected to work with the Silverlight team to build out a pre-release concept mobile User Interface using this new technology.

It’s been great fun, and the perfect project to implement our ribot process, right from start to finish. Look out for our work when Silverlight for Mobile gets publicly demoed sometime in the next year…

The Labs guys at Lastminute.com have chosen us to work on some lovely up-and-coming mobile-based concepts they’ve got in the works.

We’ve been working closely with the team to take their ideas to the next level, going through our ribot process; from initial sketch concepts, to wireframes, user testing, visual design and a final working prototype.

The final deliverable was very well received; we’ve since developed a great relationship with Lastminute.com Labs and are now working closely with them on a number of other top-secret projects in their pipeline…

Ribot was chosen by the Chiswick-based research division of Orange UK to help out on some conceptual products it has been quietly developing.

Working closely with their design team, Ribot is providing its expertise in interaction and visual design to help take two of Orange’s current research products into fruition…

Due to the nature of the work, we can’t disclose too much about it, but we’re having fun with Orange and getting a lot out of working with their top notch interaction designers and usability experts.

Working with Nokia’s teams in London, Espoo (Finland) and Ulm (Germany), Ribot has been deeply involved in the user interface design and development for a range of exciting handsets (to be launched 2009).

We’ve developed a strong understanding of user interface customisation for a range of phones, allowing us to provide a strong platform upon which we can share such knowledge, and help push future mobile experiences to the next level.

Future Platforms asked us to help out with the design on an application called GCSE Mobile Maths for Harcourt’s Heinemann brand. Focusing on the visual style, we had to come up with something fresh and lively that students would embrace as a learning tool, as well as enjoy.

The front screen was really important for us on this one; we really wanted to grab peoples’ attention, so we ended up going for a four-colour Damien Hurst-style polkadot matrix design, based upon the four maths topics in the application.

Designing a complex maths-based font system for a range of small screen sizes was a challenge, but we worked well with FP on coming up with a tasty little solution.

Little spender is our own product that we’ve decided to create for a number of reasons.

First of all, it’s a good simple idea – the application exists to provide an easy, visual guide to your daily spending habits.

Second, it allows us to test out and improve our design processes – wireframing ideas we’ve picked up, iterative processes we’d like to better or build upon.
